Canada Revenue Tax scams continue
Belleville, ON - On Wednesday April 18, 2018 police received a common complaint from a member of the public regarding a Canada Revenue Agency Fraud.
The previous evening the complainant had received an unsolicited e-mail supposedly from the Canada Revenue Agency. The e-mail stated the complainant was entitled to a refund in excess of $600 for the 2017 tax year. The e-mail further stated that the complainant had 24 hours to respond to receive the refund. The complainant entered the link and was asked to provide their Social Insurance Number,

Fail to Remain
On the 23rd of April 2018, at approximately 1:30pm a black 2 door Austin Mini Cooper struck an unattended parked vehicle on Oak Ridge Blvd. The suspect vehicle was being driven by a white male in his 20’s. This vehicle had been seen in the area on previous occasions. Police checked the area with negative results. Anyone with information is asked to contact Quinte Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
