Public Intoxication

 

Belleville, Ontario – At 8:00 pm on the 12th of April police responded to Loyalist College with regards to an intoxicated female who had been trespassed from the property. Police arrested the 24 year old Belleville resident due to the level of her intoxication. Shortly thereafter, at 8:30 pm, police were called to Belleville General Hospital and arrested a 45 year old Belleville male for public intoxication as well who was causing a disturbance. Both parties were held in custody overnight before being released on provincial offence notices for public intoxication

 

Three Day Suspension

 

Belleville, Ontario – Shortly before midnight on the 12th of April police responded to the area of Bethel Rd. and Morgan Rd. in relation to a report of a vehicle that was driven into a ditch. Upon arrival police began questioning the female driver and as a result of the officers observations the roadside alcohol screening device was administered which resulted in a failing result. The 48 year old Stirling resident, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle and who was not injured as a result of the accident, was arrested and taken to The Belleville Police Service. There she provided samples of her breath into an Intoxilyzer. As a result of those readings she was issued a three day suspension and released. She was also issued a provincial offence notice for careless driving in relation to the accident.

 

Police also responded to four other motor vehicle collisions during the past 24 hours. One driver was charged as a result of the accident he was involved in. None of those collisions resulted in injury.
