Police Auctions

On a daily basis, members of the community turn found property over to Belleville Police Service. Items are also seized by BPS police officers in the course of performing their duties.

Property unclaimed after three months of its recovery will be disposed of by means of police auction. All upcoming auction dates and times will be published the local new papers as well as on the Belleville Police Service web site.

Auctions will take place when the accumulation of goods dictates and at least spring and/or fall of each year in the WEST garage (John Street entrance) at the Belleville Police Service.

Proceeds from the sale of auction merchandise go into the Belleville Police Service Board’s In-Trust Account and are used by the Board for a variety of purposes ranging from donations in support of community charities to funding member and community presentations and awards.

It should be noted that NO medication, weapons, firearms or hazardous materials will be auctioned.
