Child Luring investigation leads to charges
On the 7th of May, as a result of a child luring investigation conducted by the Belleville Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division, a 31-year-old male from Belleville was arrested and charged with one count of luring a person under sixteen years of age and one count of exposure to a person under sixteen years of age. The male was held for a bail hearing.

Break, Enter and Theft from Food Truck
Sometime over night on the 6th of May, unknown suspects broke into a chip truck on Cannifton Rd and stole a quantity of raw meat. The owner of the business reported the break, enter and theft to police upon arriving at work the following morning. Police are continuing the investigation. On the 6th of May at 12:00am, a 2020 white Chevrolet pick-up truck, Ontario licence plate BX72486 was taken from Hawker Construction on Highway 37. It was returned to the job site at 4:00am with significant damage to the tailgate, appearing to have backed into a wooden structure. Suspicious vehicle call leads to arrests
On the 3rd of May at 9:15am, Belleville Police received a call to a north end business parking lot regarding a suspicious vehicle with two individuals inside who appeared to be consuming illegal drugs within the vehicle. Police attended and began an investigation which resulted in 37-year-old Jason Meichelbeck of no fixed address arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance,
